Every year there is a day that comes along that we celebrate Mothers. Even though I think we should appreciate them all year long, I think we should make the extra effort and make sure they know that we appreciate them. Something I appreciate about Mothers is how they always seem to have some helpful advice or little quip they give, all free of charge. Here are some of my favorite.
-A little soap & water never killed anybody.
-Don't sit too close to the television, it'll ruin your eyes.
-Don't talk with your mouth full!
-Eat your vegetables, they're good for you.
-I brought you into this world, and I can take you out of it!
-I hope someday you have children just like you.
-Look at me when I'm talking to you.
-Pick up your feet when you walk.
-Don't put that in your mouth, you don't know where it's been.
-There's enough dirt in those ears to grow potatoes!
-This is going to hurt me more than it will hurt you.
-What if everyone jumped off a cliff? Would you do it, too?
-When conversations start with: When I was your age...
-If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
-I'm going to give you until the count of three...
-Finish your plate. Think of those poor starving children in Africa.
-When you have kids of your own you'll understand.
-You should know better.
-Don't make that face or it will freeze in that position.
-Were you born in a barn? Shut the door.
-It's cold outside, put a coat on.
-You don't need a coat, it's warm outside.
Happy Mother's Day!
